That makes no sense. Why can't you have the option when you hit delete for a
contact that asks you if you want to delete linked items? It could even give you a list of linked items and you can check or uncheck them and delete them. A lot of the answers you have given here on this board are true about what CAN be done today. Suggestions (like this one) are why can't we do this in the FUTURE!!!! This can't be that hard to do...I hope Microsoft is listening! I understand that you were answering that this can't be done now and I am sure that Nate appreciates that information. I am frustrated that throughout the posts like this one that are valid and useful suggestions, there is no consideration of the fact that this was posted as such. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: it's not a flaw - once added to the calendar, birthdays are disconnected from the contact that added them. The only connection is the link to the contact - and outlook would be wrong to delete all items linked to a contact when the contact was deleted. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Nate" wrote in message ... So... when you enter a birthday for a contact, it adds that to your calendar... all fine and dandy, except for when you delete a contact, or remove the birthday from a contact, it still appears in the calendar and isn't erased. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a small flaw in the program. Because I have birthdays showing up for contacts I've deleted months ago. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
