Is there a way to customize the main appointment form in outlook , without
adding tabs ? i track flights for my company and a shared calendar would be
great for this but not in the current format , for other data reasons i have
to export/inport to excel for reports and the tab customized for will not
export all the data

Outlook 2007 will offer a new feature called form regions that will let you do a lot more to customize an appointment form, especially with an add-in

For importing to a custom form, you'd have to write custom code or use a third-party application. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/customimport.htm.
