Let's see... counting athina-bach's reply to you, I've seen 14
different users report either "won't save appointment" or "Outlook
freezes/ crashes when I try to save appointment" since I reported mine
on Feb. 21.

Who knows? Someday even the resident experts may figure out there's a
problem.

To repeat:
===

Using Outlook 2002 (10.6515.6735) SP3 on XP Pro -- home office, no
Exchange server.

Recently I started getting shutdowns with "Outlook has encountered a
problem..." whenever I tried to save either a new contact or new
calendar item. After installing SP3 and all other current Office
patches, I can create contacts, but any new calendar item still brings
the crash. My .PST is ~170 MB.

I've tried without success:

- SCANPST.EXE
- Remove & reinstall
- Delete FRMCACHE.DAT
- New profile, new .PST
- New calendar under default calendar folder

Well, after posting the previous post I found the solution -for my problem at
least.
It's kind of sily but nevertheless I 'll post it. In the "current view" for
some reason it was checked "birthday" and thats the reason why no
appointments were being displayed. I checked "day/week/month" and now
everything its fine. I hope that helps someone.
