Hi,
I am using Exchange 2003 SP2 (on SBS 2003), Outlook 2003 SP2 and Windows XP SP2. Applications and OS are fully patched. One of my users has a problem when creating an appointment: When the user clicks in the calendar (at the place/time where the appointment is supposed to occur), the appointment details window that opens has the *current date/time* as default for the meeting. I performed the test on another system and the default date/time correspond to the place I clicked in the shared calendar. For example: If I click in the shared calendar at the place corresponding to Friday, 10 AM, the meeting windows that opens has todays date as default and not Friday, 10AM... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Xavier |

Expected behavior - to create an event or appointment for that day, click in
the calendar date window and use file-new appointment. Or just use the icon on the file menu. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Thanks,
but if this is the expected behavior, how come that other users, when they click at some place in their calendar, do get an appointment details window where the date and time are corresponding to the place where they clicked ? Yes, and the behavior I am seeing with this particular user is the same with
each and every calendar view. Thanks, Xavier "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... Posting back to the group just in case someone googles for this problem.
Things that I have tried and that do not solve the issue: - starting Outlook in safe mode - deleting and recreating the user profile - checking date/time options - reinstalling Outlook (and SP, and patches) - checking regional options Finally, I came to the conclusion that something must be wrong inside the user's mailbox. I then created an extra pst file for this user, moved mail/contatcs items in the pst, deleted the mail accout via the control panel, deleted the mailbox of this user on the server, recreated the mailbox, recreated the account, moved items from the pst back in the mailbox. At this stage the user was able to create appointments in the expected way. Xavier "Xavier" wrote in message ... I too have encountered this behaviour in Outlook 2002 with one user that is
using POP3 e-mail. I have yet to find a solution. Any help would be appreciated. -- Ron Spitzer "Xavier" wrote: Posting back to the group just in case someone googles for this problem.
