Default Importing 500 contacts w/birthday into Outlook - b.day not shwing

I have just imported over 500 contacts into my outlook contact folder. None
of the birthday's are showing. They don't show unless I edit the contact and
save.

Why is this and is there a fast way to get all of the b/day's to show in my
calendar.

Thanks

Importing will always give the same result. You need to open each contact
and edit it for it to show.

May we ask why you imported your contacts? And from what format?

I exported from Outlook to a PST file and want to import to a new install of
Outlook.

I have a backup of my calendar that shows the birthday's, can I just copy
this over ?

NEVER import/export a native Outlook file. Just copy the .pst file to your
new computer, open it using File-Open-Outlook Data File and drag and drop
your contacts from the old .pst file to the new.
