Default Outlook Calendar Import results in events spanning 2 days, not 1

I am attempting to import both my Contacts and Calendar items from my work
Outlook to my home. When I import the PST file to my calendar at home, a
singular event (birthday) ends up showing over two days. (ex. A birthday on
5/20 shows as an event from 11PM on 5/20 to 11PM on 5/21, instead of just an
event on 5/20) How can I correctly import this data?
