Recentl migrated to a new Exchange 2003 server and since there have been
random issues. The most recent is individual user calendars, sporatically, are no longer visible or can be viewed. The user themself, can see their own calendar however no else that previously had permissions to view it, cannot. There have been no changes but this issue seems to just 'appear'. The individual user can reset the permissions however there will be no change. I am browsing through MS trying to find a answer, however there is still no luck. Anyone have any ideas? |

You might want to post this to an Exchange group as it appears that the
migration triggered the problem. Something on Exchange may need to be looked at. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. For the time being, a work-around was found. Previously, distribution lists were used to grant access to calendars. After the move, this no longer worked and a change to the permissions for 'default' corrected the problem. Yes, things now work however I do not feel it was the correct fix fo the problem. The real solution would be to restore calendar access using distribution lists again. For some reason, things did not work correctly and the access rights via distribution lists stopped working, hence people not able to see shared calendars they could. I can repost this message within the Exchange arena and see what people can say. If there is a problem resulting from the move, I would not be surprised any longer. I am still fixing errors since the move. Unfortunately, it did not go as smoothly as was planned. Before I stop, thank you for the reply to this topic. |

I know there is a problem with DLs and Active Directory Groups that can
occur if migrating from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 (a friend's agency is having similar problems) and DLs can be duplicated and probably corrupted depending on the AD settings. Sounds like a trip "down the hall" is in order. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
