Hello,
I'm currently having a trouble between two computers at the moment, one uses Office XP Pro, the other, Office 2000. Whenever the user with Office XP sends a Calendar meeting invitation using Outlook, to the user with Outlook 2000, the message comes out as Plain Text, instead of HTML as it should. Both are configured so that they send and recieve in HTML. I'm taking a guess that it might just be a conflict between the two versions, because when the Outlook 2000 user sends an invite, the Outlook XP user receives it fine, and the user in 2000 will get an acceptance reply normally, without any problems. Any help is greatly appreciated, I've lost my mind trying to reinstall constantly and ran out of options with the troubleshooter, co-workers, friends, etc. Thanks in advance. |

Microsoft offers a hotfix for Outlook 2000 to improve its compatibility with iCal/vCal 2.0 meeting requests. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823199 . Alternatively, have Outlook 2002/2003 senders avoid using reminders in the meeting requests they send to Outlook 2000 recipients.
