Default How do I remove a recurring meeting in outlook

How do we remove a recurring meeting that is no longer connected to the
person who is listed as the meeting organizer? That person's outlook
calendar does not list the meeting and so far no one can take ownership of it
and kill it. The server responds to any attempt to delete the meeting that
whoever is trying to delete it doesn't have sufficient permissions.
