....mobile device.
So, I installed the Live Local Add-In for Outlook. As someone that travels a lot and spends a lot of time generating maps for my trips, this is a VERY welcome addition. However, when I checked an appointment on my Treo (running WM5) I was not able to find the location information (and most importantly, the directions) on the appointment in my calendar on my Treo. Is this missing from the Beta release? Is it planned for a future release? |

Outlook has no control over what information the Treo has. That's controlled by your sync software. Aside from the built-in Location field, Live Location adds four custom fields to an item to store its information. The directions are in one of those custom fields. So, unless you're using sync software that can handle custom fields, the directions won't sync.

Thanks.
I'm using Microsoft ActiveSync 4.2 to sync between Outlook and my Treo 700w with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. Do you know if the is the ability to sync the location field or if it is planned? It is a Contact "address" field, but does not seem to be accessible from the contact form unless you choose the All Fields tab and choose "Address fields". I don't think a SmartPhone (or any WIndows Mobile device) uses that field. They do use the "Office Location" field, however, so maybe that would suit your needs. -- Brian Tillman |

Ok, thanks.
The big thing I'm looking for here is the maps/directions capability built into LiveLocal for Outlook. I have to separately copy and paste directions into the comments section of the appointment, which drastically increases the amount of time I spend creating an appointment.
