When an appointment has passed, if the user has not "Dismissed" it, then a
reminder will continue to pop up until the user dismisses it. This is useful
for some events as they are "better late than never", however, with some
items on a schedule, if the event has passed there is nothing that can be
done and the reminder is only an annoyance. It would be nice to be able to
check a box in the settins for the reminder/appointment to say that if it is
late, then consider it dismissed. This would be especially nice for things
that are daily reminders. For example, I have a daily reminder at the end of
my work day reminding me to go home. This is useful when I have Outlook open
at the end of the day, but if I don't or if I am gone for a day, I come in
the next morning and I have a reminder to go home...at that point it is more
annoying than helpful.

Yea, my wife says I forget to come home sometimes as well.
