Default How do I archive old recurring events in the outlook calender

I tried to archive my calender. It all went well with exception of any item
which was part of a recurring entry, even though the event had past. This
meant that viewing the Archived calender there were several gaps.

I am using outlook 2003.

Is this a no win situation or can someone please offer me some advice.

Many Thanks
