I use Outlook2007. I teach fifth grade and need to "journal " the happenings
and specific standards taught during each pariod. I have been experimenting with time segments as recurring "meetings" or appointments. That is, there is a Monday version of the Writer's workshop and that recurs every Monday, I would want to have data associated with the lessonm (like a standard number) and collect more freehand info about the students I meet with and their progress. Then as a report I want to pull all commnets about one student and read them. Natara DayNotz does this with the student names as keywords. I made a tactical error by adopting both OneNote2007 and Outlook2007 because the many interesting Outlook add-ins do not work with 2007. OneNote is a better value, even with beta glitches. So can I collect this data as meeting notes? Not having the other students or teachers using Outlook of course cripples part of the benefit. I had hoped Outlook could be a data hub for my teaching, as OneNote really can't do that well. Unfortunately, we have to use Lotus Notes for E-mail. Ideas, anyone? |
