Default Outlook will not save appointments

Outlook 2002 stop saving my appointments. I enter them and it
disappears; it can not be saved. No error message appears. The task
will also not save. Some inbox emails come up with an error "This item
contains active content that cannot be displayed in this preview pane.
Open the item to read its content." The item is there and can be read
but I cannot move the item into another folder instead it opens as if I
am sending an new email. Any ideas?
