I am trying to find a way to be able to export certain items from our group
calendar that is housed in a public folder. The calendar serves as a master calendar for all of our activities and events. We also have a calendar on our webiste for "public" events. We need to be able to export only the events we want posted on our internet calendar from our master calendar. I know I can export the public calendar items by copying the calendar to a private folder, then doing an export, but there doesn't seem to be a way to have a custom export done. Is there some way to do it using a custom form that has a custom field and then using that field as a filter? Any help, ideas, 3rd party apps you have found would be most helpful. Thanks in advance. |

Why not use a category to filter those items?

We could use the category. I am not sure how to filter the items based on
that. Would it be a custom view? Sure, you could make a custom view. Or you could just use the standard By Category view to group by category and then select and copy only the items from that category to the folder you'll export from.

I tested it, and darned if it doesn't work like a charm. My next question is
how could I get a set of customized category names to all of my users? I am assuming that it is an Outlook specific list (not housed in Exchange). Thanks for the help. It's specific to each user. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/olcat.htm
