Hi Diane, I'll Just post in this thread. I have a user here as well which
seems to have the same problem. He can not create any new action in his calendar. This is now for several days. I have checked every available setting regarding the calendar but can not find any setting which could cause this problem. I can access his calendar remotely from my space and completely use it as it is. The only thing which is still possible with his calendar is start typing something into the fields (without firstly double-clicking in the field, because this isn't opening the detailed field). When you try to exit the edited field he gets an error message that outlook is unable to save the item. What could be the cause here? I need to restart the server over the weekend anyway so I'll let you guys know if this has helped. I'm not sure though if the people on here with the same problem have their accounts on a server as well or just locally. Thanks for the help Jan "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: how many appointments do you have in the calendar? did you make a new pst with outlook 2003 or upgrade from 2003 or earlier? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "bonnie1011" wrote in message news ![]() My calendar appers to be frozen or locked - I can view content of each day, yet not make any changes to existing appointments, add in new appointments or view any notes associated with appointments currently on calendar. Hi
When I run outlook on my laptop and I'm not connected to exchange, it normally says: Disconnected. At that time I cannot make any changes. When I change the state to offline, I can add new items. So maybe the user has problems being connected / disconnected??? (Lower-right corner you can change the status) Gabrie |
