Default keystroke or shortcut to "finalizing" the entry of a calender even

1. is there a wat to turn off OR UNCHECK the alert box ...make it in the off
position as a default?

2. once I complete entering an event in the calender, is there an easier way
to close the entry that going to the redX in the upper rt hand corner and
then having to accept it again?

is there just a combinatio of keyboard strokes or some way to make this
operation easier???

thanks in advance to all of you out there.
