Default How to publish to a custom server

I just got the Beta 2 of Office 2007. The biggest thing I am interested in
is the shared calendaring ability without Exchange server. This is something
many other programs offer, but none have the niceties that Outlook does. I
run my own web server and have webdav enabled on it but seem unable to
publish my calendar. What type of setup is required to enable this to work?

Secondly, will Office online be pay to use eventually? Can it be accessed
without using Outlook?
