At home I use Outlook 2003 and when I send an Ical to work I receive a
meeting request, usually with the wrong time and no chance to accept or decline. At work I have Outlook 2003 as well, but it comes through an Exchange Server. In previous versions of Outlook this was never a problem. Icals were sent, received, opened and saved. From work I can send an Ical and it's received no problem. I've also sent Icals to other computers from home and they receive them no problem. |

Rob,
I have exactly the same problem. I am sending the meeting invitiations with the "ical" checkbox cleared, so presumably as vcal format. The issue I see most is an "All day event" is translated to a time, like 12:00am to 12:01 am the following day! I presume there is some parsing of the vcal message body that Exchange 2003 is doing, but I am doubtful as to the outcome of checking the "send in ical format" box in Outlook being able to resolve the issue. I will try however... I am not sure if there is an Exchange setting that can be tweaked to handle the calendar E-mails correctly or not. This used to work WITHOUT the Exchange Server in the middle. (Outlook 2003/SMTP - Outlook 2003/SMTP). Now that the Exchange Server is processing MY mail (not my Wife's) the interchange of meeting requests seems to have broke. Any help by any experts in these areas would be greatly appreciated. Scott, we found a work-around. From home we just Forward the event. When I
get it at work I can then open it and save it, but it doesn't save in the calendar. If I drag and drop it from the email to my calendar, it then saves the event with the proper time and other information. I'm no expert but I've tried the solutions presented by Microsoft such as making sure settings boxes are checked or unchecked. With both versions of Outlook now being the same, it must be Exchange. Or Small Business Server 2003 which we have at work. "Scotty" wrote: Rob, I have exactly the same problem.
