I am using MS Office 2003 on Win XP.
When I start up Outlook and go to the calendar, which is set by default to a whole month view, the calendar highlights September 25 even though today is October 30. If I use the week view or the day view, it goes to the correct date. The problem only happens with a month view. The problem started happening only today. The computer's time is set correctly. Any pointers on how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks, Anoop |

Same thing happening to me and several other staff here at work. System date
is correct (first thing I checked) on all computers; time zone is correct. I checked a computer loaded with Windows XP (SP2) and Office XP. The Outlook XP monthly calendar defaults to the correct date of October 31, 2006. "anoop" wrote: I am using MS Office 2003 on Win XP. Oh, good grief. (I'm laughing at myself) OK, here we go:
Starting with the first day of the month, (Saturday) Outlook needs 6 ROWS to show the entire month of October. Outlook is showing the first part of the month (which includes the end of September) rather than the last part of the month. Once we get to November, this "problem" disappears... Yes, Outlook's monthly calendar view shows us five rows.
But October 2006 needs six rows to show the entire month. So, Outlook's month view presents us with the first day of October, which is a (oops) SUNDAY. The row that contains the first day of October also includes the last week of September. Since Outlook has only five rows and presents to us the first day of the month, we have to scroll down one row to see the last two days of October. ![]() "Brian Tillman" wrote: Jake wrote: Oh, good grief. Not on my machine. October starts on a Sunday, so the calendar view starts with the first week of October. The fifth row contains the few days of October and the first few of November. -- Brian Tillman |

That's cos you don't use compressed weekends. This problem only occurs for
people who use compressed weekends. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Brian Tillman" wrote in message ... The Outlook monthly calendar presented me with the entire month of October
ONLY when I uncompressed my weekends AND had the week start on Sunday rather than Monday. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: That's cos you don't use compressed weekends. It should scroll the window up and at least highlight the correct date. Once we get to November, this "problem" disappears... Yes, that's what I noticed as well (after you mentioned it) by manually setting my computer to Nov 1. Anoop |
