Default Appointments in Outlook 2003

Hello,
I'm booking an appointment, selecting appt. as a resources during a time
that have an appointment at that scheduled time. But when I go to "send/
book" the appointment it does not give me and message that the "appointment
was successful" nor "appointment already booked for specific time choose
another time or find another resource". This is causing a problem because
the resource appointment is DOUBLE BOOKED. Have anybody ran into this
problem???
