Default Start up with calendar

I tend to forget appointments because I am not with the cumputer when it bips
and announce the next meeting. Is there a setting that makes Outlook show
todays calendar every time it starts up?

You can specify a folder in the startup option. I have a shortcut using
something like this, which opens Outlook at the toplevel folder, in my
case
set to show the default homepage, including reminders:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE" /select
"Outlook:\\Mailbox - Smith, Joe"
