Default My Office Assistant Stopped Displaying Reminders

Hi,
After downloading Office 2003, when I set up an alert reminder on my
calendar, my animated office assistant stopped displaying reminders. Instead,
a gray dialog box does the reminding. How do I change that so my office
assistant can display reminders in its bubble again? Thanks!

Note: I've already gone to Options in the office assistant and Display
Alerts have already been selected.

There is no way to legally download any part of Office 2003 except as a demo
version. What did you REALLY do?

Actually, I should say "installed". This was acquired through my company's
network.

I "installed" Office 2003. The reason for using "download" is because this
was through my company. Sorry for the mix up.
