I had a similar problem - with the giberish showing up in the sent meeting
request too. After reading you solution I found that the setting Tools, Opitons, Calendar Options, "When sending meeting requests over the internet, use iCalendar format" was the problem. Unchecking it, and my request went though perfectly. "JoAnne" wrote: Yes we are both using Outlook. I managed to find the answer by browsing the other comments in the message board..
