Is there a way in Outlook to turn off the email invitations everytime a
meeting is scheduled? We are using Outlook 2003 with BCM and MS Exchange. |

Thank you. Perhaps Microsoft could consider developing the program to allow
for appointment creation without invitations. For example, think of a doctor's office, where there are many appointments being made. The doctor cannot keep receiving all of these appointments. That would be overwhelming. Thank you Diane. Actually, we need to schedule appointments for some of the
partners of our company, and don't want to overclutter their inboxes with invitiations. At the same time, we need to also be able to track these appointments quickly in the event there are scheduling changes. We are using MS Office with BCM and MS Exchange. All are the latest versions. BCM allows us to have a history in the Contact screen. You mentioned that you autoaccept appointments for the mailbox and deselect the meeting request option. Where is this setting found? Is this in Tools | Options? Thank you, Larry "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: how is he going to see them if they aren't added to his calendar and if he doesn't want to see them, why "invite" him? Just put it on the scheduling calendar. Another option is setting his mailbox to autoaccept the appointments - they'll disappear from the inbox within a few min after arrival and be put on his calendar. Deselect the meeting request option to send response and it's very invisible - I use this method to add appointments to my husband's calendar all the time. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Larry L." wrote in message ... Brian,
We are actually a tax and accounting firm. There are some practice management products on the market, but none that are ideal. We would very much like to stay with the MS family (Office, SQL,etc.) , and preferrably utilize SQL-based databases as opposed to Access. Larry "Brian Tillman" wrote: Larry L. wrote: Thank you. If the person making the invitation clicks on the 'scheduling' tab when
making the appointment, then clicks on the far left column on the line of any attendees who they do not want to receive an invitation, it gives you the option to 'not send an invitation to that attendee'. This works for me when sending invitations that will include my boss, but that he doesn't need to receive the invitaton for. Because I have delegated rights for his diary it still puts it in his diary, but does not send him the actual invitation. That's interesting Catlover, but when I try that, I get the following message:
"This meeting cannot be sent because there are no recipient names in the To Box. Would you like to save and close this meeting?"
