Default How do you make appointment dates bold on the calendar?

At work when I make make an appointment on my calendar, the dates shows up as
bold on the smaller calendars. You can tell at a glance if you have something
scheduled for certain days. On my home computer these chosen dates are not
bold, so you can't tell if you have any appointments unless you click on each
individual date. How can I get them to format as bold?
