Default Recurring Event

I just got a new laptop (Vista OS) and transferred my Outlook data from old
laptop. When I go into Calendar on my new laptop to update an event and save
it, it automatically changes the event to be a recurring event. This happens
automatically. How do I stop this from happening?

In Control PanelAdd or Remove Programs, look for an app named
Outlookaddinsetup and uninstall it. You got a Dell, correct?

Thank you. Yes, I have Dell laptop? If I remove that program, would there
be future conflicts because I removed it?

My understanding is that's a program used by Dell int he configuration of a
new PC that for some reason itsn't being removed properly before shipment.
You shouldn't have any issues if you remove it.
