By "public resource calendar," do you mean a folder in the Public Folders hierarchy or a Calendar folder in a mailbox configured as a resource?

We have a public resource calendar (conference room) and I created a private appointment on it. I am unable to modify, change or delete the appointment. Nothing I do will allow me to modify the appointment, even though I believe I created it. The calendar default permission is set to Author and my permission is Owner. I meant a Calendar folder in what I didnt' know at the time was a mailbox.
We actually figured this out by enabling the user account associated with the calendar and logging onto the network as that user. This is the *only* way a private meeting can be deleted, to my knowledge. What are your thoughts? That makes perfect sense.
Another thing to try might be to change the delegate settings for that calendar folder to allow other users to see private items. I'm not sure if that will let you delete them, though. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "GrHopp" wrote in message ...
