Default calendar import makes meetings lose attendees

When I import my old calendar (Netscape 4.7.1) into Outlook Calendar 2003,
everything is fine except that meetings that previously had attendees are
showing up as having no others involved.
How can I import so that all attendees are included? Will the meeting then
be imported into their calendar automatically?
