Default Where is "Categories" field in create new task window? How do I add it?

Create task window seems to be missing the "Categories" field. Is there
a way to add it?

The work around is to save the new tasks go to task list add
Categories using field chooser edit the categories field for the newly
created task.

There should be a way to automatically place a task in a particular
category when you are in the New task window

It's at lower right, as on contacts and appointments. Maybe you need to make the window larger?
