Right-click a blank area of the calednar and choose OIther Settings.
Examine the "Show time as clocks" check boxes.

Brian,

I checked those settings and those boxes are unchecked, yet the clocks still
appear. Any other suggestions?

if you enable clocks, do you see two sets?

did you try resetting the view?

Are these time appointments that last for more than 24 hours? If so, clocks
are shows to indicate they are not all day events, as they use the all day
banner.
