Default Duplicate appointments

Hello,
my company has exchange 2000 and outlook 2000 SP3 as e-mail client.
The problem that occurs is the duplication of calendar appointment when this
colleague sends meeting requests and attendees starts answering.
She receives also notification of duplicate appointments.
Thanks for your help
