Default How to block out past dates on the calendar?

I'd like to be able to color previous days in a different color, to more
easily recognize what the current date is. Is there a way to do this, or
even to put an X through a day, or hide previous dates from my current view???

You haven't stated which version you are running.

No, outlook does not support X'ing out dates.

"today" is highlighted (how easy is it to see depends on the version and
your color scheme) and there is a today button (or use Alt+O) to jump to
today.
