We have a number of resource mailboxes for which the free/busy information is
intermittently unavailable. We've set up a separate mail profile for each account and run /cleanfreebusy on each of them, but visibility is still inconsistent. Is there something else we should be doing to make all of this information available? Thanks in advance for your help. |

When you say "intermittent", do you mean:
- some appointments show, others do not, sproadically - no free/busy shows at all during these periods What version Outlook do you use? What version of Office do you use? What version of Exchange do you use? Are they all patched? Are these resources set up for Auto Accept or Direct booking? 291616 How to direct book a resource in Outlook 2002 or in Outlook 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;291616 903290 You should not register a resource mailbox for Auto Accept Agent in Exchange 2003 when you set up a resource for direct booking in Outlook: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;903290 Nikki Peterson "Tim" wrote in message ... Outlook, Office and Exchange are all 2003, SP2; all are current on patches.
By intermittent, I mean that no free/busy information shows during these periods. Everyone who tries at a given time will see free/busy on some of these accounts but not on others; then, a few days later, the ones that are and aren't available will change. Finally, to my knowledge we haven't set these mailboxes up for Auto Accept or Direct Booking, but I'll double-check that. Thanks! I am a little confused on how the mailboxes that you describe are
resource mailboxes. The first thing I would do is set them up with automation, if they are resources that are booked. The behavior you describe is abnormal. However, without more information I cannot point you to a direction for recovery. There are many things that could be going wrong: - Cache Mode not synching consistently - Too many folks accessing the mailbox On the Server side of it, you need to have a few admins check: - The Global Catalog server could use a quick look over - Are your DC's set up correctly - Is Sychronization running correctly You may want to get a bit more information and post it to the Exchange Groups.
