Hello,
One of my users regularly sends out meeting requests to Senior Managers, and Support Staff. A member of the support staff left a few months ago and their user account was removed from AD. Their mails are not forwarded to another user. When my user sends a meeting request now using his distribution list, he gets an undeliverable from the ex staff member. He has deleted the distribution list and recreated it, but still gets the undeliverable. I have checked all the relevant email addresses in AD, but cannot locate the ex staff member. We use MS Outlook 2003, SP2, on Windows server 2003 Any help is appreciated, Regards, Charlotte |

He should make sure he removes the DL name from the autocompletion cache and then re-resolves the name afresh. -- Brian Tillman |

Hello Brian, how exactly should he do that?
Thanks Charlotte "Brian Tillman" wrote: He should make sure he removes the DL name from the autocompletion cache and then re-resolves the name afresh. -- Brian Tillman |

Hello Brian, how exactly should he do that? In the To field of a new message, enter the first character of the DL name. When it appears, hopefully it will be in a pop-up list and you'll be able to use the down-arrow key to highlight it and then press Delete. This will remove it from the autocompletion cache. He can then rechoose it from the Contacts folder in which it is defined, pressing CTRL-K to re-resolve it. -- Brian Tillman |
