That error message can come up from just about anything. We need more
information. What version of Outlook are you using? Are you using a .PST
file or are you connecting to an Exchange server? How many items are in the
Calendar folder you're trying to add to?

I am using outlook 2003 sp2 and using .pst files as I am the only user. Each
Item I try to add gives me the same response. If i change an existing item
there is no problem.

Is the .PST file you're using an older .PST from a previous version of
Outlook, or was it created in the new Outlook 2003 Unicode format? If you're
not sure, right-click the Outlook Today folder (or whatever the highest-level
folder is named) in the Folder List, then click Properties, and then the
Advanced button. If the Format box says "Personal Folders File", it's the
new Unicode format; if it says "Personal Folders File 97-2002", it's the old
format.

There are tighter limits on the overall size of a .PST file in the old
format, and also the number of items that each folder can hold...you didn't
answer my question about how many items are in your Calendar folder, in case
it could be a factor here.

I'm not sure where to find the folders you are talking about, but I'm pretty
sure that this is the new format since this is the first version of outlook
on this laptop.

Try running Detect and Repair from the Help menu in Outlook. You'll need to
have your Office CD handy. If that doesn't help, you might need to create a
new Outlook profile...post back if you need the steps to do that.
