I am running 2003 Outlook. I have items in my calendar that have several
different categories. I would like to be able to merge two of the
categories. Is that possible and, if so, how is it done.

TIA

What do you mean by merging the categories?

To merge the categories A and B into C: Switch to a table view that displays
all of the items and group by categories. Select one item and create the new
category C. Now select all items of category A, display the Categories
dialog, check category C and uncheck category A. Do the same with the
category B items.

For one folder and a few categories that works quite well. If you have to
reorganize a lot of folders/categories you might try Category Manager (url
in my signature), which allows among others merging and renaming of
categories across folder boundaries very quickly.

See, I would have intrepreted "merging two caletgories" to mean "make 'A and
B' a single category".

Actually, I did want to make categories A and B a single category. Michael's
answer was very helpful. I was not aware of the table view. Now that I
know, I can do most anything I want to do.

That's really easy - as I'm used to translate daily some confusing English
into what I consider would make sense )
