Default Canceled meetings stiil appear on calender why?

on occation when I as well as other co-workers have canceled meetings that we
have organized, they seem to still show up on everyone's calander. Anyone
have any idea what we are doing wrong? As soon as I cancel a meeting I have
organized it's no loger on my calender, but it still shows up on the calander
of other invitees. It's very confusing and frustrating!

Thanks!
