Default calandar archive not wanted

I am using Outlook 2003 and have got a problem with my calendar. I have
approx 12 years appointments / meetings /diary notes and I note that
recently has archived all but the last 6 months or so of my appointments.
How can I 'unarchive it'?
I want to have all appointments showing in my main calendar and not have to
click over to activate the archive calendar.
Also, I have many duplicated and triplicate appointments How best to remove
the duplicates ?
