I have problems receiving all invitations from user X as they are displayed
as text and not meetings. The problem is it is hard to track because I am not the one sending out the outlook invitations and everytime i send out the invitations from user X computer they all came out fine! I even checked the "When sending meeting requests over the Internet, use iCalendar format" under Calendar options under Advanced options. I have also made sure that the Internet format for Email Properties of the contact is using "Send using Outlook Rich Text Format" but when i checked the the invitations it still kept on being sent as "Let Outlook decide the best sending format" which mysteriously caused the outlook calendar invite to appear as plain text "Brian Tillman" wrote: liya wrote: Hi I have been having this problem of outlook 2003 calendar entry sent out and shown as text instead of the proper calendar type format Are you sending this message or receiving it? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Yes and we still have this problem and troubleshooting is harder when I am
not the one who is sending out the invitations but another person, User x. Do you perhaps have other alternative solutions(besides reinstalling, changing options settings, starting outlook in safe mode) to this problem as it is disrupting our office scheduling at the moment. I am receiving these emails but I am troubleshooting for my colleague and all
the measures I have carried out to eradicate this problem seems to be of no avail. What version of Windows does your PC run? What type of account is the sender using? If the sender opens your contact record, double-clicks your email address, does the sender see an "E-mail Properties" dialogue? If so, what does the "Internet format" drop-down at the bottom indicate? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
