Hi,
I had a few questions about outlook calendar. I first want to give you a brief over view of my mailbox. I receive a lot of emails with medium to large attachments. I run out of my assigned space pretty quickly so we setup a personal folder. It worked for a while but i went on vacation for about a week and my mailbox was over its limit again. I needed have all my emails go straight into my PST as i cant raise my exchange server limit at this time. So we setup my PST (on another server) to be the default delivery location. It has worked great for me so far but i am having a few problems. 1) I need to share my calendar (tasks, contacts) with a few people so it has to stay on the server. This means that i have to work out of my new PST for all my mail and then scroll down to my exchange mailbox and view my calendar, tasks, and contacts there. When i click on calendar in the navigation pane it defaults to the PST calendar. Is there a way to change this? 2) I am unable to set reminders on my exchange calendar because it is not my default calendar. I tried to set reminders on my inbox PST calendar and that worked. Is there a way to have reminders on my exchange mailbox as that is the one i use. I'm sure there is a better way to setup my mailbox and if you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears. |

Hi,
1.) "Is there a way to change this?" You can change the "delivery folder" of Outlook but then you will receive your e-mails into the PST file and your default folder will be your PST file not the Exchange mailbox anymore. I do not think that this is your target. To change only the calendar folder for reminders is not possible. Solutions: You could synchronize the calendar of the PST file with your Exchange Mailbox calendar, then you will get your reminders from the Exchange calendar: Outlook synchronisation solutions: http://www.publicshareware.com/outlo...escription.php http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/sync.htm Office Marketplace Outlook messaging tools: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ma...719621033.aspx 2.) To get reminders from Public Folders or additional PST files you can use 3rd party utilities. http://www.slipstick.com/addins/calendar_reminder.asp A german tool (Public Reminder Add-In) is also available on this site (english version coming soon) http://www.publicshareware.de/public-reminder.php Maybe it helps. -- Oliver Vukovics Share your Outlook PST files without Exchange: Public ShareFolder Synchronisation for Outlook and Exchange: Public SyncTool http://www.publicshareware.com schrieb im Newsbeitrag ...
