Outlook will accept appointments with reminders, but will not remind and has
not since I've had the program. Appreciate if any one can help. Thanks, Bill

Are the appointments in the default calendar? What version of Outlook?
What type of account? Have you tried starting Outlook once with the
/cleanreminders command switch?

outlook is 2007, I can enter the reminder, but I do not receive the reminder. I enter the reminder the same way that I did for years in outlook 2000. When I view the Reminder Window, it's alway blank. I know nothing about the command switch. I'm not sure what that has to do with my problem. It seems to me that something is not turned on.

You didn't answer all of my questions. Is the appointment in your default
calendar? What type of account? I believe the reminder window will always
be blank unless there's an active reminder that has fired but that you
haven't yet dismissed. The command switch I described will regenerate all
reminders for upcoming appointments. Click StartRun and in the Open field
enter

outlook.exe /cleanreminders

Be sure to include the space.
