Please let me know the functional aspect of 'First day of week' option in MS
Outlook. I want to know which functionalities of MS Outlook 2003 does this option affect. I have some idea that it affects Calendar view and Recurring Appointemnts. Please share more details. -- Vikrant Agarwal |

it sets the calendar week to begin on that day - i.e. if you prefer a
mon -sun calendar you'll set Monday as the first day but if you prefer sun - sat layout, you'll set it for Sunday. I don't think it has anything to do with recurring appointments. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Vikrant" wrote in message ... Hi Diane
Thanks for response. Please follow following steps to see how does 'first day of week' affects recurring appointments. Step 1. Set first day of week as sunday. Step 2. Create a weekly appointment with Recurring every 2 weeks. And, days as Sunday and Monday. Enable 'No End date' option. Step 3. Set first day of week as Monday. Repeat Step 2. Step 4. Open calendar in month view. Check for occurences for appointments created. Please look for change in pattern. -- Vikrant Agarwal "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: it sets the calendar week to begin on that day - i.e. if you prefer a mon -sun calendar you'll set Monday as the first day but if you prefer sun - sat layout, you'll set it for Sunday.
