Default Default calendar view

I thought that I knew more then this, but I need help. How can I set the
default on the calendar to always open to the Week View?

If you select that view and then exit Outlook, it should remember and return
to that view the next time.

Tied that (again after your response) and that didn't work.

I'd try two things: the first would be to reset all views with the
/cleanviews command switch. If that didn't work, I'd try a new mail
profile.
