Default Missing Past Appointments

I have been using Outlook 2007 since the beginning of the year. I just went
to look at my past appointments in January and it is empty. February and the
first 2 weeks of March are empty too. It seems like Outlook 2007 is only
keeping the past 8 weeks of calendar data. I have auto archiving turned off.
Does anyone know what the deal is with this? Is my data gone forever for Jan,
Feb and Mar? How can I prevent this from happening?

Outlook doesn't delete anything from the calendar by itself unless you're
using autoarchive. Do you sync Outlook with any device like a phone or a
PDA?

I am having the same problem. Also Outlook 2007 but losing appointments after
6 months. I do sync with Palm Tungsten T5 but can't find any settings that
mention deleting appointments.

While I don't use a Palm, the sync software I use with my PDA contains a
setting for specifying how far in the past I with to sync. Does yours?

That should read "... I wish to sync."

Default Missing Past Appointments

I, um, er, have to apologize...
I got a new computer last November, and with it installed Office 2007.
It must come preconfigured with autoarchive on (I did not turn it on). It is
also not as intuitive to check as it was in past versions.
Long story short - I WAS configured to autoarchive at six months. I finally
figured it out and changed it to not archive.
Sorry to bother everyone...
