Default calendar event showing on active appointments but not on calendar

When I accept a calendar event in MS Office 2003, it shows up in the active
appointments view but not on the day/week/month view itself; i.e. it doesn't
show up on the calendar day.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

are you using a filtered view that would hide it?

I am having the same difficulty. How would I know if I am "using a filtered
view that would hide it"?

Reset the view- but if you are syncing with an iphone, its probably just
the iphone bug.
