Default Paste into Calendar Note - disappears

Frequently, but not always, when I 'Paste' something into the Note field of
a Calendar Appointment, the Note field 'appears' to be blank.

However, if I close and reopen the Appt note, the text is there. Sometimes
clicking around various places in the Appt will also cause it to display,
but I haven't figured out just what the trigger is.

Is this some kind of 'feature' or just a bug? Any fixes or workarounds?

TIA
Al
