Twice now in the last week a series of appointments (both times all
appointments were within a 2-day time period of one another) have just vanished from my Outlook calendar. When I go into "Outlook Today" in my personal folders area, they still show up there, and when I sync the calendar with my iPhone all the old appointments are still in my iPhone, but in the "Calendar" area of Outlook 2007 itself, they're gone!!! Where did they go, and how do I get them back?!?! |

Sure!
Outlook 2007 (12.0.6300.5000) MSO (12.0.6017.5000) Not using Exchange, my e-mail is through my personal domain and the Calendar is synced only with the iPhone. Windows XP SP2, I believe. iPhone 1.1.1 iTunes 7.7.0.43 This just started happening late last week, in fact I think it was around the time of updating iTunes. Not sure if the two are related, though, as I encountered another thread in here where someone started having the exact same problem with a non-Apple device. The fix you suggested won't work long-term -- this is happening repeatedly so I'd have to manually adjust every single calendar entry to prevent them from being deleted. The appointments that are disappearing were, for the most part, created in Outlook in the first place and then synced to the iPhone and only recently have deleted themselves. Hope this is enough info to help. Thanks! "Nikki Peterson" wrote: Wow, this appears to be a rather common problem. Seems to stem around the apple devices and sync'ing to Outlook. I do not believe this is an Outlook Problem Can you share with me the following info: - Outlook version (including service packs) - Exchange version (if Exchange is being used) - Operating System (including service packs) - iPhone version (including software updates) - iTunes version (including software updates) Try opening the event on the iPhone and change it to recurring daily then end the recurrence on the date of the event before syncing. it has to do with a recurrence setting.
If your mobileme is syncing with outlook's calendar directly (not sure how that works for the calendar), then the problem is with the phone software - but in most cases it appears to be the new itunes update that is causing the problems. http://www.slipstick.com/problems/iphonesync.asp -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. no, no one has figured it for sure - missing recurrence pattern data is one
theory - and apple isn't talking. We believe the itunes addin for outlook is behind the problem - there have been problems with it in the past. Its needed for calendar syncing but not contacts. Oh, and someone said they used activesync instead of itunes and the appointments were fine. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
