Not sure what's going on. I'm certainly not an Exchange expert. Before we
brought Exchange into the picture, everyone had their own pop accounts. We all use Exchange and that is the default delivery location. I also have four pop accounts that are delivered to my Mailbox. Originally, I had two calendars: Exchange and my personal one. Interestingly, I could not set a lable or reminder if I entered an appointment in my personal calendar. So I thought I would enter them into my exchange calendar. Within a minute or so, the entry disappears and it seems to happen when Outlook syncs. I use Office Sync by Alltel on my desktop. Interestingly, if I try to make a calendar entyr on my Treo, It errors out. Not sure what direction to take here, so any help appreciated. Terry |

So I thought I would enter them into my exchange calendar. Within a minute or so, the entry disappears and it seems to happen when Outlook syncs. Seems likely to me. It would be where I'd concentrate. Outlook, however, is passive in a sync process, acting only as a data repository. There are no Outlook settings that contribute to the sync. It's all up to the sync software. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

... So how can I fix it? Since you're using Exchange, can you see the items in the Recover Deleted Items feature? If not, your only solution is to restore them from one of the recent backups you've made of either your Outlook data or your phone. Examine the documentation for the phone and see what its sync settings allow in terms of retaining older items. Blackberries, for example, will delete older events unless you specifically configure the sync software to retain past events forever. Speak to the Alltel support people as well. Are you synching directly witrh Exchange or are yoiu synching with your desktop Outlook? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Hi Brian and thanks.
My Treo syncs with my desktop using Office Sync. What's interesting is I added the holidays feature and they still remain. I have even disabled my office sync and tried to add an appointment, and it still disappears. Recover Deleted Items via Outlook is greyed out for some reason. WHat data store have you specified as the delivery location? Recover Deleted Items via Outlook is greyed out for some reason. Hi Brian.
Running /cleanviews now. Just added an appointment in Outlook and it just disappeared again. Data location is Mailbox-Exchange. I changed that from Personal Folder some time ago. Just figured that "Deleted Folder" issue out ![]() "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: "Terry" wrote in message ... My Treo syncs with my desktop using Office Sync.
