I am using Outlook 2002 on a Vista system. I only use the calendar partion of
outlook. For some reason many of my old appointments were deleted from my calendar. They were in my deleted items folder, but I tried to move them back to my calendar, but unfortunately they were deleted from the deleted items folder. Any way to get back those appointments? I keep reading about an exchange server. Not sure what that is, or if I even have one on my home PC. Thanks. |

If they were deleted from the deleted items folder, they are gone unless you
have a backup. Are you using AutoArchive to clean the calendar and deleted items folder? Is there a reason you're using Outlook and not the Vista Calendar? Outlook is overkill if you just need calendaring. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Unfortunately I didn't have a backup. I think it was caused by uploading the
calendar info to a cell phone, and for whatever reason it deleted some old appointments. I have the auto archive set so that it should not delete any old data. I am not using the vista calendar as it doesn't appear to allow for setting a different colour for each member of the family's appointments, which is an important feature in our household. calendar) -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
